I take a moment of your time to introduce myself to you and the
ministry to which God has called me.
My name is Greg Crawford and I began
singing gospel music in 1975 with my family, The Crawford Family
Singers, from La Marque, Texas. It was our privilege to sing
with several well-known gospel groups such as The Blackwood
Brothers, The Galileans, The Dixie Echoes, and The Followers.
During this time my family also recorded five albums.
Although my life was centered around the
church and gospel music, I did not know Jesus Christ as my
personal Lord and Savior until the age of nineteen. Having an
incredible void in my life, I hid away in my bedroom one night
where I simply opened his word and encountered God.
After my conversion experience, God
immediately began planting new songs in my heart and a desire to
share with others what Christ had done for me. To date I have
written approximately 250 songs.
The inspiration of many of these songs flow from a heart that is
not perfect, but is continually confronted by a perfect God who
is patient and kind, to help change who I am through life's
experiences, and by His Word.
