I’m so happy, I am living in a Jesus State

I’m not living with the blues,

I refuse to let it change, it don’t bother me,

It’s fine you see, I vote to keep that way.

I’m so thankful, I am living in a Jesus state,

Where some thing’s aren’t suppose to change,

Where a man still loves a woman, and most people know that a woman loves a man.

I’m so happy, I am living in a Jesus state,

If I want to say a prayer,

Don’t need your blessing, cause I’ve paid all my taxes,

if I want to speak to God, by God I’ll do it anywhere.

I’m so thankful, I am living in a Jesus state,

Where most people don’t swing and sway,

Where folks feet still touch the ground,

you don’t get the run around when you're living in a Jesus state.

I read her book and now I can speak to a Liberal if I must,

don’t even have to cuss, just tell 'em how it is,

and tell 'em where I live,

I’m so happy, I am living in a Jesus State,

You want the church to separate

Try to write our declaration, without breaking the law,

can’t use the name of God, like our Forefathers thought.

I’m so thankful, I am living in a Jesus State,

And I hope that you can still tolerate me,

And all my offending ways, 

while I’m trying real hard to look at you and do the same,

But it’s still good to be living in a Jesus State.

We’re polarized, desensitized. Divided so it seems,

Separations what they vow, think its separated now?
